Accommodation at Masakala

Two rondavels specially designed and built using local architectural ideas and skills, offer you a choice of single double or dormitory style sleeping arrangements.

Traditional yet comfortable, Masakala's accommodation offers hot shower and bath and four beautifully decorated rooms.

Masakala has just been awarded an AA Quality Assurance grading.

As the sun sets and the evening draws in , enjoy a friendly meal prepared by the local catering group; home grown vegetables, fresh produce and African recipes are on the menu, alongside conventional fare.

Masakala also cater for vegeterians on request.

Masakala provides a secure base for visitors who wish to discover the beautiful surroundings of the region. You can stay here for one or more nights.

Costs:

The cost per night, excluding transport from Matatiele (see this link for transfer costs) are ZAR190 per adult and half price (ZAR95) for children aged between 5 to 13 years of age. This includes dinner, bed and breakfast.

Linen and towels are provided.

Masakala is also the first stop in the Mehloding Adventure Trail.
